Taking a shuttle van from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to your hotel on the Strip, downtown Las Vegas or anywhere in the city is a breeze. If you aren't up for sharing a ride or waiting these are a nice option, but like I mentioned, significantly more expensive than the shuttle.Shuttle vans and buses operated by off-airport companies are a popular and convenient transportation option and an alternative to taking a taxi or renting a car. They also offer these to get between casinos, but the price is high, more than double the cost of a cab. I have also used the town car service when I was with a group and when split amongst the group isn't much more expensive than the shuttle and will take you directly to your destination. I've found the drivers to be courteous and professional on each of my trips and this is why I routinely pick the Bell Trans shuttle to get me to and from the airport. Getting to McCarren early is suggested because check-in and security waits can be very long. It can be short or long depending on your hotel and if any other stops have to be made. Timing back to the airport is similar to the first trip. It's recommended that you reserve your time 3 hours before your flight. The automated system handles this nicely. For the return trip you can call 24 hours in advance to arrange your pickup. Tipping is not included or required, but it is encouraged. Depending on the destinations of all if the passengers it can be anywhere from 15-45 minutes to get to your hotel. You can get your ticket and then wait for the next shuttle to have enough passengers to make a run. For slightly more you can go to downtown or off strip locations. For $13 you can go round trip to the strip. The town cars and limos are good and fast. When it comes it transportation you can pick two of these options: The shuttle is good and cheap. The shuttle is the cheapest way to get to and from McCarren. To get to and from the airport I prefer the shuttle bus from Bell Trans. There are so many transportation options to get from the airport to the hotels as well as getting around town. One of the things I love about Las Vegas is not having to drive. It’s just a blast and makes for a great night! Bottom line: I would highly recommend “Bell Trans” Limo Service and will use them again the next time we’re in Vegas. Tip #3: Most (if not all) of the limos have a CD player (and I think an itunes player) so be sure to request a limo with a music player so you can bring your OWN music CD/playlist-we did and had a BLAST!! Tip #4: I highly recommend booking a limo for an hour or two while in Las Vegas. Tip #2: Be sure to tell them you want the champagne “chilled” when making the reservation. For our group, we wanted to have champagne and this company will stock them for you…at only $5.00 a bottle! Now, I know what you’re thinking but the champagne was actually very good (they get an incredible deal with a distributor so they can offer such low prices). Tip #1: If you want to stock the limo with some adult beverages, be sure to ask them what your options are. They were affordable and very reliable and punctual. I did some research and ended up booking a limo with “Bell Trans” Limo service and had a great experience. One of things we did was book a limo to pick us up from the restaurant and drive us around the strip and see the famous “Vegas” sign. My boyfriend and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate his 40th birthday with some close friends. Needless to say, Bell Tran sent out another bus (right away) and we did finally make it to the airport. The driver closed the bus doors, hit the gas pedal and WHAM, right into a huge cement structure. When we arrived at the next hotel the couple waiting were afraid they'd miss their flight if they didn't call a cab. All was fine until he realized the bus was too long for the u turn. We shifted from lane to lane until the driver finally attempted to maked a legal U turn. We left the hotel and headed towards his next pick up. No big deal, but within 5 seconds he did the exact same thing again. The driver seemed like he was having a rough day, he banged his head on a radio system that was mounted to the ceiling of the driver's seat. The first part of the transport went just fine. Upon arrival at the airport they were there, we waited for the bus to fill up and we were taken to our hotel. I booked my airport transportation as part of my Expedia package.
